Former Florida Govenor Crist Becomes Independant

As some of you may know now, former Florida govenor Charile Crist is running for the Senate. However, he has now changed parties and is now running as an independant. Crist used to be a Republican, however conservatives recently have scrutinized him for supporting Obama's policies. In addition, the Republicans dumped Crist on the curb, so to speak, for the Tea Party's Marco Rubio.

I am glad to say that I support Charlie Crist 100% in the Florida Senate race. Crist is the type of politician I love. He's willing to cooperate with both parties, go against his own party's beliefs, and supports things because he thinks their great ideas and not because people tell him to believe that. Not only that, but he's also dedicated to fixing the problems in America today such as health care and unemployment. He's a great man and would make a truely great Senator.

The Fledgling Coffee Party Preaches Bipartisanship and Financial Reform

Recently, I have found an intriguing new grassroots organization. This new group is called the Coffee Party and I 100% agree with their stance on Wall Street reform and campaign reform and support the Coffee Party movement. The Coffee Party, like me, also preaches bipartisanship and thinks that everyone in Congress, whether Republican or Democrat, needs to work together in order to fix the things that are wrong in this country. In addition to that, they oppose the Tea Party, which I hate due to their use of propaganda, lies, and slander in order to get people on their side.

I urge all of my readers to join the Coffee Party movement to help create a nation run by people with varying opinions and not just by liberals or just by conservatives. To help create a nation where politicians actually want to help the people and not themselves or their party.

New Arizona Law Stems Illegals, But Promotes Latino Prejudice

Recently, a law was signed by Arizona govenor Jan Brewer. It requires Arizona police to question anyone who is suspected of being an illegal immigrant. Supporters of this bill claim that this bill will help stem the outpouring of illegal immigrants from Mexico and help stop drug smuggling in the busiest place in America for it. However, I agree with the protestors of this bill in the fact that this will promote prejudice against the Hispanic community.

I believe that this will promote prejudice because this could cause racial profiling. You could stereotype that all illegal immigrants are Hispanic, therefore by that logic, all Hispanics should be questioned. I believe that would be racism and cause harassment of Mexican-Americans by police. This racial profiling could also lead to even worse things, such as hate crimes, against the Latino community.

So, although this bill would help stop drug smuggling from Mexico and help stem the amount of illegal immigrants from Mexico, (Even though I am against laws against illegal immigration, I still believe it should be left to the state.) it would promote racism and prejudice against the Hispanic community, which is why I strongly oppose this bill.

You may have a lot of questions, like who I am. Well, I'm Justin W. and I'm from a small city in Wisconsin. Over the years, I have developed more and more of a political opinion. I am a liberal, although I'm not that far left. I'm also a Reform Jew.

Also, you may be wondering what this site is about and why you would want to view this site. Well, this is a political blog where I comment on current issues that affect America. I comment on new laws, senators, controversy, etc... However, I will always look at both sides of something before I form an opinion. I won't just agree or disagree with everything a party does just because I agree or disagree with their views. I am willing to bash my own party and praise the other one.
